Our Mission

The Cumberland Community Schools Society endeavours to increase and strengthen the links between our schools and the larger community by offering knowledge-sharing activities that bring together students, other local service groups, volunteers, residents and community businesses. We aim to provide a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive environment where adults and children are provided opportunities for educational, cultural, social and recreational activities.

We see the entire community as a resource and truly believe that it 'takes a village to raise a child,' with this in mind we aim to identify and encourage sharing of those community skills and strengths with individuals who might benefit from them. 

Our mission is to create opportunities to foster a positive, self confident vision of ourselves, our children and our village while leading by example. We hope to encourage a sense of community within the school and a sense of safety in knowing each other in the community. 

We are always looking for ways to expand and improve our programming as well as our connections in the community. Please let us know if you have any suggestions, skills or resources to offer!
